The Mediating Role of Kaizen in the Relationship between Total Quality Management and Organization’s Performance

Abstract

The present study aims to investigate the mediating role of Kaizen in the relationship between total quality management and organization’s performance. The research method is descriptive-survey and the statistical population of the research is the employees of the district of five Shiraz gas transmission operations, which is equal to 138 people. According to the Cochran formula, 102 senior managers, middle and operational managers, as well as directors and active staff of the area have been considered as the sample of the study. Data collection tool is the standard questionnaire of Ang and et al (2016). Its content validity has been approved and its reliability has been approved using Cronbach's alpha. Data analysis has been done using SPSS software and structural equation modeling. The results of this study show that there is a significant relationship between Kaizen principles and organizational performance. There is a significant relationship between total quality management and Kaizen principles. Finally, there is a significant relationship between total quality management and organizational performance with the mediating role of Kaizen.
